Traveling with a child can be challenging.  Here are some tips to help make your journey smoother and more enjoyable:

  1. Medications and First Aid: Bring any necessary medications your child may need including fever reducer, pain relief , vitamins, as well as a basic first aid kit. It’s also wise to keep a basic first aid kit on hand for unexpected scrapes or bumps along the journey. I personally recommend this https://amzn.to/3PFIJME , it’s small, lightweight, waterproof, and easy to pack, making it a perfect travel companion.
  2. Child Safety: Take your car seat or booster seat for transportation rather than renting them to save money. If you don’t already own a car seat, I recommend a 3-in-1 convertible car seat (4 to 22 lbs). It’s a great investment because you buy it once, and it lasts until your child transitions to a booster. For boosters, Graco offers good quality at a price lower than two days of rental. If you already own one, bring it along and save money.
  3. Stroller: A stroller can be a practical item to have when travelling with a child, it make it easier for you to move around the city while keeping your child safe and comfortable. I recommend a lightweight, foldable stroller, easy to carry, practical, and budget-friendly. I even gave mine away after I was done with it since it was so affordable.
  4.  Stroller rain cover: The plastic cover and blanket  for your child’s stroller is very helpful when traveling in various seasons, especially when you encounter rain, wind, or other adverse weather conditions. I recommend this plastic cover as it fits most strollers.
  5. Car window shades for kids: If you are traveling by car, a Car window shades are useful accessory providing several benefits to your child like sun protection, privacy and cooler interior; keeping him comfortable and safe during car rides. I have the same ones, great UV rays protection at good price.
  6. Entertainment: Take his favorite toy and blanketcoloring books and pencils,  appropriate books, games, and activities to keep your child engaged during the journey. Consider bringing a headphones to watch his favorite cartoon for longer trips.

  7. Pack Wisely: Bring all necessary items for your child, including sunscreen (recommended by our pediatrician)  jacket, clothes, diapers, baby wipes, bottles, snacks, and any special food or milk.

  8. Choose Child-Friendly Accommodations: Make sure that your accommodation welcome children and they offer amenities like cribs, high chairs, and play areas, and also look for accommodations away from noisy streets or bustling nightlife areas ensuring a quiet and peaceful  for your child’s sleep quality.
  9.  Hiking Carrier:

If you prefer not to travel with a stroller or enjoy hiking and walking on trails, using a baby or child carrier might be the ideal choice for both you and your child. It allows you to move freely with your hands unencumbered while your child enjoys the scenery or takes a nap comfortably on your back.

If you have a baby you can opt for a baby carrier like this one with safe design  that prevent hip joint dislocation.
